About Wicklow Port
Wicklow Port is a seaside tidal port at the mouth of the Leitrim River approximately 35 miles south of Dublin. There are two piers, (East & West) which protect the entrance to the port.
Entry to the port is 365 days per year day and night. The only restriction being when there is a very strong North East to Easterly winds at the entrance which necessitates the closure of the port.
Cargo operations are carried out at the packet pier and river berths, (North & South Quays) which are well protected from all weather elements.
Wicklow Port specialises in handling bundled timber, paper, lead, plasterboard, steel and dry bulk cargoes, principally coal. Other general and heavy lift cargoes can be accommodated.
